Handicap access

Aircrew are subject to the European “aircrew” regulation.
The MED (Medical) part (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 of 3 November 2011) concerns aircrew medical aptitude.
The ORA part (organisation requirements for aircrews ) concerns the organisational aspects relating to AME and AMCs (certification and maintenance of validity, management, personnel, requirements in terms of facilities, archiving).
The ARA PART (authority requirements for aircrews) concerns:

  • the regulation of medical certificates and forms,
  • the certification application and monitoring of AME and AeMC.

Class 2 aeromedical doctors are authorised to assess :

  • private flight crew (classe 2)
  • cabin crew member (CCA)
  • aircrew for LAPL (light aircraft pilot licences).
